☆CHARACTER
Age: Physically 27-ish Actually Unknown
Species: Human
Canon: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Canon Point: Directly Post Final Chapter of the Manga
Character Info: Reborn on the Wiki
Personality:
Reborn is a man of extremes. Extreme loyalty, extreme effort, extreme action, extreme control, and extreme expectations. There is nothing he does not do with a thousand percent of himself and he expects others to be just as dedicated. This is both his greatest strength and his greatest weakness. It's his strength, because his determination and powers are so great nothing can stop him once his mind is set on something. However, it is also his greatest weakness because he cares to an extreme amount as well and his enemies would play on that, no matter how he conceals it.
To defend himself against that unfortunate eventuality Reborn has established an unnatural control over all of his actions. He gives none of his emotions away in everyday situations, maintaining a facade of minor amusement or annoyance depending on the situation. Only in the most strange and volatile situations does he lose control of his temper, such as when the Ninth Boss of the Vongola was revealed to be locked inside of the Gola Mosca, or when Uni, the Sky Acrobaleno is threatened. He has a history of angering quickly in defense of people he considers important to him.
Another cause of Reborn’s anger is his term under the curse of the Acrobaleno. He finds confinement to the baby-sized body so frustrating he has Shamal lock his memories away until the final arc of the series. His customary dramatic greeting Chaos is reduced to Ciaossu something mistaken for the combination of the Italian and Japanese terms “ciao” and “ossu”. The reduction of his vocal chords and the other limitations of his body and abilities contained and controlled by the Sun pacifier are a frustrating and debilitating to his mental state until he locks those memories up.
Though he still holds the title of the world's strongest hitman in the KHR world his assassin work seems to be far behind him. He is fully devoted to his job teaching Tsuna to be the best mafia boss he can be. Reborn believes no method is too crazy or too abusive if it's what's needed to sink the lesson in through his silly student's thick skull. He rarely shows it, but he is quite proud of the progress his students have made and continue to make. Even when given the opportunity to establish a team and fight to free himself from his curse, or help one of his friends free themselves, he turns the entire thing into a learning experience for Tsuna. That doesn't mean he tells Tsuna that his most important goal is to make him learn, but for the few who can read Reborn easily, such as Uni and Fon (the Storm Acrobaleno) they can easily infer it from his actions.
Reborn has no tolerance for idiots. He doesn't mind ignorance, because ignorance can be taught and overcome (hence his willingness to teach Tsuna), but when faced with sheer foolishness and stupidity Reborn is far more apt to kick the idiot in the face than offer them help (like with Skull, the Cloud Arcobaleno). He has a healthy amount of respect for people who fight, and fight intelligently, such as the majority of his fellow Arcobaleno. He does, however, enjoy riling his friends up with competitive teasing and banter, as well as rather brutal literal head-butting competitions when it comes to Colonnello.
☆INTERSTELLAR
30 Points for Sun Flames Bullets: Reborn has the ability to change the directions and the timing of the impact of his bullets. He can shoot into the ground, or into anything really, and then by activating the sun flame he used on the bullet he can make it shoot again from where ever he initially fired it.
For example: He fires into the sidewalk, waits ten minutes until his target is walking by, then he activates his flame and the bullet flies out of the sidewalk and into the target.
Chosen Equipment: Basic gun on him when he departed his world and Leon the Chameleon, a small pet companion whose abilities to create weapons/defensive materials/ammunition, and abilities to shape shift have been scrambled by the travel through dimensions until regains, or permanently for the sake of the game.
Relevant Skills: Reborn has a masters degree in mathematics and an extremely analytical mind. He has the ability to plan far in advance and to make sure those planes come to fruition. He's a phenomenal, if very difficult and mysterious teacher. He can draw and fire his gun in half a second.
He has stated in canon that he can read minds, but due to the circumstances and the characters' minds that he 'read' I believe that this is simply a case of being able to guess accurately based on facial expressions and body language, as well as the topic of conversation. Reborn is extremely intelligent and intuitive. He can also speak with insects and animals. He's flexible to almost a contortionist's degree.
Character Goals: Reborn's goal is to save Tsuna, his student. If on the way he can possibly help others achieve their goals he might take part and help them out. Luce when he realizes she's there will also become a priority rescue.
